You know there's a thing in Psychology about the 2 archetypes Eros and Thanatos. Eros is the drive that makes man and woman want to unite together, a longing for 2 halves to come back together so they can once more be whole. This is what you would call libido. What is yin without yang? What are the Stars without Space. What is the Subconcious(Feminine) without the Concious(masculine). The next archetypal force is Thanatos is the destroyer. it's sole purpose is to break down all the superficial things so that one might reunite with source or the creator. The sole purpose of Eros is creativity and to bring new life into the Universe while Thanatos is to destroy and teach the soul that everything is an illusion and that we must come back home hence why it's associated with death.

 

My question to you is that do you want to embody the archetype of the Virgin priestess who goes at it alone to be a Chanell of wisdom. This is kinda like the blind witch who takes out her eyesight for insight which in today's day and age is not needed because there can be a balance. Why don't you want Romantic relationships. Are you sure this is what you really want or is something that is unaddressed in your psyche not being taken care of.

Thank You Dondada for your insightful response. I really appreciate your explanation. This is really going to be helpful. I've been contemplating this for the past year. All I know is I'm a healer. i desire to direct all my energy to healing, peace and the attainment of the highest evolution. I don't believe in being a martyr and enduring pain/suffering/denial of needs for written religious beliefs. 

I respect and understand and love the idea of romantic relationships for OTHERS just not myself 

People have 'fallen' for me before and I don't want to unnecessarily hurt them through my rejection. They believe that I either have a big ego and believe myself to be too good for them or that they are not good enough for me. This is not the case, I'm only interested in spiritual journey/evolution. (I found out this guy friend I had denied dating a few weeks ago; got really drunk and broke his wrist). I'm not taking responsibility for anyone's actions. Although If I can do something subconsciously to prevent disrupting anyone's emotional state, then I will try my best to promote peace and balance.

Well, before I post my thoughts...How do you stay emotionally independent, enough to be single and perfectly blissful, and say you can lead a lifetime of doing it?

The most important thing is to heal yourself first, Bhudda didn't go teaching people before enlightenment. Also make sure not to deny your needs for the needs of the collective. You must learn to be Holy which is the human that embraces all aspects of himself. Many religions want their followers to deny the physical and turn to the spiritual while atheists want to deny any spiritual thing and embrace materialism. One is like trying to get a tree without any roots(aka not being grounded) while the other is like planting a seed but it's not growing. Based on your launguage it seems that you feel guilt when rejecting people. Oddly enough guilt blocks the seccond chakra which functions relate to sex and pleasure.

 

On the other hand this man typing is an old soul who was born in a perilous time in my past life and according to my birth chart I abused my spiritual power and was insensitive to others. Source says "abusing powers. How about you get your power extinguished in this incarnation!" also "No empathy, how about now you feel everyones emotions and you reflect their shadow side and absorb their negative shit, MWAHAHAHA".

 

Also I'm dealing with relationships as my Karma because I was a Lone Ranger in past lives.

 

I have the power to serve or suffer.
