Want to manifest money but not just through current career

Recommended Posts

Hi. Me again

OK Sean's posts have inspired me to do one of my own on something I'm really stuck with.  Temporarily, I know and even though yesterday it seemed quite dire, I'm really looking forward to any ideas on this.  Basically, I CAN manifest money - definitely and have done and it can be quite creative how it happens too at times!!!

But it keeps trying to come to me first through extra work and I don't really want to stay in my current career forever and ever amen and when it does that I sometimes want to stop doing anything technique-wise to bring more money in.

For example, when I was doing day to day teaching work, I wanted to bring in money so I focused on that (forget how but I know ways) and then I got a call about a job for that day which is helpful yes! Or I'll get agencies want to give me a new job (when I already have one for now.)  And more recently, I got an email about a three day a week teaching job (teaching's my current career but I want to break out of it, slowly but surely) during the summer holiday.  I thought about applying for that job the extra money would have been great but it's like this is one of the biggest perks of what I do, having the summer off, even if it means little money during the summer so NO NOT doing THAT.

It DOES come to me other ways too, like i got a tax return, a little bit of money from family and it's come other ways in the past, like i might get discounts, gifts, I got the chance to work as a coat check girl for an evening, didn't take it but that was something different and it's work but not my current career, once it literally just appeared into my account for no reason BOOM there it was.  So I'm not kidding when I say yes I know how to manifest money!

But this block has me very reluctant to WANT to focus on attracting money and it has to get to the point at times where I get pretty desperate before I will even try.

Like I had almost no money and I did that attracting money video for about a week.  Well, it made me laugh, which in itself was really helpful and I was offered two free dinners, got a good bargain in the supermarket and then my credit card pin number arrived one or two days earlier than it was supposed to!  I cried with joy.  Soon after I got my finances a bit more sorted too.

But it almost has to get to that point,  because I feel like if I focus on attracting money, I'm going to attract more teaching work.  Which is a don't want for me.  So I'm just really looking for ideas, techniques etc. for how to change this block around - and yes the congruence thing might help it has been giving me ahas on other things already.

Part of it's probably focus on the fun things that having more money can bring and I guess the freedom.  Also I'm gonna need enough money to go back to part time (rather than full time) teaching work again so I can do other things career-wise.

Anyway, help!  Please because I really want to turn this around.  I can be a real little money magnet I even can find coins on the street, I've attracted freebies, found money in a bag when I thought i had none I got two refunds last summer, one for an old travel insurance claim - THEY called ME! and I got the bank suggest a payment protection refund last summer - they said no but gave me £800 anyway.  So, do you see?  I can certainly do it, I just really need to get past this block of wanting to attract money but not wanting it to come to me through teaching work.  I'm tired of getting to this point of having to juggle money around with the bank and apologize again - that happened yesterday!  and I got to have some nice little treats in my life recently when I DID get some extra money and I would love to have more of that.  It comes other ways but it's like it tries to come to me through teaching work FIRST and that sort of puts me off?

I also used to be able to go travelling to different countries and I miss that and I want that back!  So it's something I'm very keen to break through!

Wow I only JUST saw this now!

I DID listen to dream career but only for a month.  I did go then from full time teaching to substitute teaching which I enjoyed more.

At some point I'll try using that sub for a lot longer and see what happens!

Reading through your post, I feel at this point you're relying excessively on luck. You can def. make some extra money from tax returns etc. but it's not exactly a good base for financial security.

Generally the problem with people relying on LoA is they completely forget it still operates on logical laws.

I.e. If you had an additional teaching certification or degree, you would have a higher paying teaching career. Or if you wanted to go elsewhere and pick some other route, you would still need all the training required for it. Chances are your dream career will need you to put in work before you get to a stable level.

But if you're not putting in the work and still want as much money as you seem to aspire towards, you'll be relying on the lottery.

I'll say right away though. The satisfaction received from putting the work in rightfully having returns later is unmatched. Heck, you'll respect yourself more. I am feeling this through trading stocks and looking into investments daily. It's quite a struggle as I push my psychic skill further and further, but the journey is a whole lot of fun, too and I know once I hit my stride I'll have deserved the money.

Thanks, Light!

I find teaching exhausting at times and wonder how I could do something else on the side.  I DID do an online life coaching course but found it hard to get that off the ground, really, REALLY hard.

But you've given me a LOT to think about.  About the satisfaction that DOING the extra work required can bring and how it can pay off.  THANK YOU!

I guess I also have at this point little confidence that I am ABLE to do anything other than teach? I also love to sing but have been told I sound like Cindy Lauper, I guess what I'm trying to say is - - - even though I AM intelligent and educated - - - I don't feel like I have the natural talent and abilities to do much else because I've already tried and failed before?  But then again, even though all I seem to hear about these days including on my facebook wall, is people who seem to be instant success stories, click their fingers and BOOM they have a successful coaching business or whatever, I'm sure there are many more who slugged away at something on the side for months or years and then it's paid big dividends.

I also feel like, what you've said, reminds me that learning and gaining new skills can be rewarding for and in it's OWN sake too, intrinsically, even BEFORE the money starts to show up.  Well, you've given me a LOT to think about.

Hey Athena. I agree you seem to have the ability to draw things to you in times of crisis, (monetarily) speaking. I agree with Light though on the fact that you will need training for most of the really good jobs. Speaking as one that has only a highschool level education,

I found it very hard to find good emplyment, and even a harder time at advancement in most of the jobs I'd had at the time. So yes having an additional teaching certification or degree of some sort as "Light" said would help bring in more in the long run.

I'd def also listen to the video Dream Career the Adonya posted about. This can only help as well imho. As far as you sounding like "Cindy Lauper" when you sing. I happen to like Cindies songs and thought she did very well for herself as an artist coming up through the musical ranks over the years. If you love to sing , but are not happy with your voice; then try some vocal classes to see if you can bring your voice to a level you feel comfortable singing with, then try your hand at it.

May the universe smile upon you always. :)

I DO want vocal classes (sorry, just re-reading this now) but the tutor i really want it's about £300 - £400 for a pack of lessons with her.

But she's taught people at a high level and I want to learn through her, definitely.

Re-reading this today it's so so encouraging.  Because right now, like I've kinda said, after a few years of just abandoning it I've attracted an online mentor (for free, nothing scam-my) in two skills I used to know bits about and wanted to get very good at and I'd LOVE to monetize somehow.

But, the way he's teaching me IS starting from, i wouldn't say the basics, maybe in a way, but I had forgotten a lot of what I initially knew anyway but also, he's showing me how to get the foundations right.  And it COULD take years to properly learn the stuff and get good at it, no I AM good at in in SOME ways, but I mean it could take me years to monetize it.  So as of this month, I'm at the studying and being mentored level.  I go back to my day job soon and I know I am going to need to keep working with him, keep up the studying (not as much but I can't just have it as something I do in the holidays) even though I'm not being financially rewarded for it and there's guarantee I ever will be.

The journey IS fun.

Sometimes it's like AARGH I have to read MORE?  But the topics fascinate me (they are skillsets, just hypnosis & NLP really but I don't have to know right now how i might monetize them in the future.

And sometimes I read about a technique I HAVEN'T heard of before or I read about certain things and it's fascinating.

i love what you said about the being rewarded later being so satisfying and I LOVE what you said about respecting myself more.

One of the reasons I DO want to keep learning this stuff is cause I like the idea of the confidence boost from learning two new skillsets, really maybe three or four.

Thank you, Spencer and thank you, Light!
