admin
https://loopvids.s3.amazonaws.com/Jan03_Post.mp4 I remember a particular daydream that I enjoyed back in Junior High School. It would usually "happen" in English class. One the most boring classes I ever had. One of the most boring teachers I've ever had. With one of the lamest teachers I've ever had. The daydream was somehow having been "discovered" by a movie star I had a crush on way back then. The day dream was I'd be sitting in class. Somebody from the office would interrupt the class, with a "call slip" saying I had to report to the principals office. I'd go down there and there she'd be. My crush, saying they needed me to be in a movie with her. I'd be rich and famous and swept away from the infinitely lame JHS English class. Our brains are wired to dream like this. This is one of the most common "structures" of any kind of "fantasy-daydream." Of being in a super boring or painful situation. Then somebody comes in, "Deus Ex Machina" and takes you away to a better place. Deus Ex Machina is a poor writing technique where the writers have kind of written themselves in a corner so they "poof" a solution into existence. Deus Ex Machina = God From The Machine There was even a pretty silly TV commercial back in the day for a bath powder. Some poor woman would be desperate to escape her dreadful day to day existence. So she'd dream of slipping into a hot bath and dreaming of a better place. "Calgon take me away!" We all have to do things we don't want to do. We all love dreaming of better things. Usually with these better things happening TO us in a "Deus Ex Machina" way. Some entity much more powerful than us sees something SPECIAL in us. And because they've recognized our inner specialness, they take us away. This is why the hero's journey is what it is. Harry Potter, Luke Skywalker, Neo, Chuck Bartowski, Peter Parker, all had something unexpected happen TO them. This is the core of our dreaming mind. To find a better place than the one we've got. From a societal standpoint, so long as you've even a basic economy limping along, you'll have plenty of people turning those dreams into reality. But this is also an extremely powerful conversational tool. Everybody you know, everybody you see, everybody you will met has a HUGE collection of dreams in their brain. Dreams they would LOVE to get out and talk about. Dreams you can HELP them to get out of their head. Do it slowly, carefully, RESPECTFULLY and something pretty cool will happen. Those dreams represent a fantasy that is much better than NOW. So when you SLOWLY bring out those fantasies, they will slowly associate those fantasy feelings with you. So YOU will become the fantasy, in their mind, that is better than now. Learn How: https://mindpersuasion.com/desire-builder/
