Skye
Maybe society's projection of female sexuality is best summed up by Alison from the Breakfast Club (that expressing or not expressing sexuality is a double edge sword) "Well, if you say you haven't, you're a prude. If you say you have you're a slut. It's a trap. You want to but you can't, and when you do you wish you didn't, right?" Personally I feel like the term "slut" is a cop-out term. It says less about the woman's/ (or man's) sexual behaviour and more about the one labelling them. Humans aren't products we don't need to be labelled. We are the expression of emotions, concepts and life itself. Express yourself! Be happy Sexual Liberation for Everyone!!! Whoo let's all be millenium hippies! As a man, I've always found it upsetting how our society views woman when it come to sexual freedom. I think it is shameful how we pat men on the back and call them "Studs" when they have been with multiple sex partners. Yet women have been looked down upon and called "Sluts" if they have multiple sex partners. This kind of hypocrisy should have been done away with a long time ago in my opinion.
