Hey wassup guys this is Gerardo from prosperitylifehacks.com and I need some constructive feedback.

This is the page I need feedback on resources page

Essentially, I want to know if everything here makes 'sense' and seems enticing where it would peak your interest.

Feel free to lend me any suggestions, comments and/or feedback.

Thanks,

Gerardo Morillo

Hi Jerry love the page. The reasons I like it are as follows...

1. It is clean not too much detail clutter/info overload. One of the worst things on sites are places where webmasters pack too much info in - in order to impress visitors. This kind of info overload leads to overwhelm especially to ppl who are new to the products / methods you are promoting. If you wish to become all technical and come across as a guru lead them  in slowly talk in a simple language they expand and then when you have them expand on the themes etc.

2. Like the colour scheme. Black and white text eye catching stands out delivers the message what your site is about in simple terms. Below is a clean cut black text on white background - it feels fresh and is easy on the eye. The text spacing is good, in small blocks and spaced. This makes it easy to read and digest quickly.

What I'm not sure about...

Jerry is that a Google ad I see in the right hand column??? Your site is about selling affiliate products I think - but you seem to have Google ads on it? Yeah I get it, you earn via clicks too, but aren't those clicks sending your visitors to competitors sites? Yes, I know this dilemma having had my own websites in the past, so I know where you are coming from on this.

Now a little help from you please. I am setting up a website of my own very soon. How do I integrate an email grabber on there to take emails off of clients? Which is the best / cheapest or free program that I can use to help get emails in exchange for me giving out an ebook. I'm a little clueless about this part Jerry so your input would be valued mate!

Hope the above helps.

Hey Redhat. Thanks for the constructive people!

I am you glad you like the design. I was concerned if it was 'good enough' or if it needed more improvement.

Right now I am just 'testing the waters' with AdSense to see if it's worthwhile.

I think overall I like it.

Nice to see there are links to George's things and near the top too.  Good amount of blog posts.

Love the diamond and the green like (U.S) money.  But green is generally thought of as being a colour of money anyway, good choice!

Not so keen on the hellobar pop up coming up straight away.

(Not a bad thing to have it, that's not what I mean just that it is the first thing)

Mostly looks like a well made website and I LOVE the title banner part and the name.

Subheadings is a good idea, that you have those.  For example, some people might want to know about the supplements AND the business, some people might want to know about the supplements OR the business stuff (perhaps) and the subheadings makes it easier to find things.
It's great that you offer some free content (and near the top, the subscription stuff) good way to get a mailing list and so on.

So, those are my general impressions so far.

So just note any of the cons I say is just constructive feedback which is meant to help you out so that you make it.

Pros:

Your site is pretty damn good in terms of the information you are sending out.

Tons of great supplements with good reviews.

Email Marketing and Web Hosting is always useful info.

Photo Editing and Hellobar seem pretty useful. I didn't know about this myself.

Cons:

Do you believe in this stuff? The first thought I get when I see affiliate marketing is people blindly looking for money. Why do you believe in this product? Sell me on this. Sell me the why. You have highly informative articles, but you need to use images more. Pictures can be worth a 1000 words. Whatever it is you're feeling can be described through images.

And closely related to that is who are you as a person? Your persona needs to seep through your website.

Decide on if you want to use Youtube as a medium as well. A bodybuilder results in instant clicks. But before that, really write down and decide what it is you believe in. Your core belief systems, who you are as a person, and what it is you're trying to accomplish.

Thanks for this you really helped me out here :)

I have been the type to explore in many things in life. I always wanted to learn about life's 'beautiful' nature. I ended up taking much more than I could chew, though -_-.

The one thing I do know is I always strived to become my best at everything. Unfortunately, I was quite ahead of the game at such a early age that it caused me to become unrelatable with everyone else my age kids. This ended up creating a negative loop within stunting my ability to enjoy everything.

Yeah, but you need them. I get you because I am exactly that way. When you get down to it though, you need to just kick back and enjoy life sometimes. Talk about everyday mundane stuff and maybe have a drink with your friends, or ask a girl out. It's about balance, and you won't really enjoy life until you can have both the Work/Ambition and your friends that you just hang out with. That, and they might you give a new perspective you didn't have before with the pure hustle mentality.

Thank you, Light this was very much needed for me.

Great point about the visual thing I didn't think of that but yes!!

I was wondering, re the social thing, not sure you feel about meetup.com or what the meetup scene is like near you - some places have a lot going on, some places have little or nothing but it might be a way to get to spend time with older (not old, old but you know what I mean!) people if you want and some of them might be in business, there are business meetup groups too.  (Just to be clear it's not a dating thing, there are singles groups in meetup but it's more for socializing and in some cases networking.)  It's just one suggestion you could try IF you want.

I do personally find it better for acquaintances than deep friendships though, although I did briefly get a boyfriend out of it once and also some good friends I would meet with once a month when I was running my own group and away from the group too.  But it's more for acquaintances.  Some of the groups ARE business-focused, though they vary of course in what you might learn.  I'm too pre-pre startup to benefit from the business stuff there at the moment, but someone with something more established, which is which you have, might benefit from it.  And if not, the socializing through meetup might be fun.  Or not!

Having said that, just hanging with people who are not into the hustle might be more of a break for you, not sure.  Just putting it out there.  (And, no, I'm not an affiliate of meetup, I'd be totally transparent with you about it if I was,  I just use it with some of my social life, it seems to be a good way to meet people in my city and I know in some of the states there's a LOT of meetup groups.  Depending on which part of the States though.)

Back to the website, I think it's a great idea what Light said about adding photos - not oodles so that it's slow to load but a couple of photos of you bulked up as you are or before and afters if you have them MAYBE and a video somewhere - youtube for e.g. - just add an iframe to the code.  Might be a good idea methinx.

Hey Athena, sorry it took me a while to respond to this beautiful post. I had some unfinished business to take care of.

Warmly agree with adding more pictures to the website.

The Idea of more social networking / clubs is also good and I thank you for pointing that out to me :)

With Love,

Gerardo
