Hi all, I noticed a common pattern, during the winter time I also a dip in performances in energy, depression, mood, apathy, and other things. Even my father mentions to me how he gets tired or generally lazier during the winter. I was wondering if this was considered "normal", maybe other people, too, felt this way. It would make sense because winter time is generally a time to CONSERVE ENERGY as opposed to go all out... One example of this in animals are bears. Bears generally "hibernate" during the winter. Personally, I think bears evolved to have this tactic or strategy to hibernate during the winter for efficiency sake. That or they were programmed with this information. Bears know to cut back during the winter possibly because they know there is a lot of diminishing returns. Meaning winter is a horrible time to be busy because they would spend more energy then they gain back. So, in a way, it's "smart laziness." I wonder if this is the case for us humans, also. Do you notice more depression, lack of energy, laziness, sluggish feeling, or anything else during the winter?
