  1. If you’ve ever learned an instrument, perhaps you’ve had the following experience. You learned a song, and had it partially memorized. But sometimes when you practiced, simply by noticing your fingers, you messed up. Or perhaps you learned something like juggling. There are times when your conscious brain is turned off, and everything seems to “flow.” But as soon as you start to “notice” what you are doing, you mess stuff up. Sports psychologists study this idea of the flow state. The more skilled you become, the more effective this flow state is. Since most of us aren’t world class anything, we only experience “normal-people” flow states. Essentially, this is the level of “unconscious competence.” When we can do something effectively WITHOUT thinking. World class athletes, musicians, artists, they experience very high levels of flow state. This is why people often describe watching professional athletes as “poetry in motion.” At the same time we KNOW they are doing something WAY ABOVE a normal human skill level, but they are also doing it at the level of unconscious competence. Most of the things we normally do are at this level. Walking, talking, simple things like cooking and driving. However, when we communicate with unfamiliar people, that “messing stuff up by watching it with our conscious minds” happens. This is when we are struggling to think of what to say. This is why the advice of “be yourself” actually IS good advice. It basically means to speak like you would to your best buddy. Without any restriction or worry. To speak unconsciously like you normally do. There are two ways to do this. One takes a lot of practice. One is pretty simple. The first way is to simply practice talking to SO MANY people that you get used to talking to strangers. So talking to strangers becomes something you are unconsciously competent at. The second way is MUCH better. It is based on the idea the underneath all the surface structure stuff, we are THE SAME underneath. So when you talk to them, on that deep level, you are really talking to and about yourself. This can seem strange at first. But it’s much easier to practice. Since you can practice all alone. And when you switch your pronouns around, and use some hypnotic language, the other person will see you as somebody with profound insight. Deep understanding of the human condition.   2. There's an idea in economics and investing about money flow. It's not that main stream, so you won't hear about it on the news. But it's the idea that instead of the amount of money being the driving force in any given system (money supply, banks, actual size in GDP of an economy, etc.) that the flow is much more important. It's usually talked about how the Fed raising or lowering interest rates effects the stock market. Most believe it's the actual number, but a minority of economists believe it's the CHANGE in the number, not the final setting. It's easier to think of this in personal terms. Most people like the idea of having a ton of money in the bank. People feel that if they "had" a couple million, for example, everything would be "good." But consider that the "flow" of money might be more important than the amount of money. If you had two million for example, how long would that last? If you didn't get any interest, you could spend 40K a year for fifty years, and then it would be gone. For many people, that would be IDEAL. A dream come true. Trouble is it's like being hungry, and thinking that EVERYTHING is delicious. On the other hand, if you aren't really hungry, it's easy to have trouble choosing. Once you get used the idea of ONLY having 40K a year, that "dream come true" might turn into a trap. Once all of your money fears were gone, (you had 40K a year for 50 years) you'd start having money WANTS. Wants that you couldn't achieve, because 40K a year, while keeping your rent paid, you and your family well-fed and out of trouble, wouldn't exactly let you live the high life. Consider an alternative. That instead of seeking a certain amount, seek a certain flow. A consistent flow of money into your account. A flow that YOU can control. Clearly, this isn't easy. This does take quite a bit of work. Which is why so few people can achieve this. But even the ATTEMPT will make you feel alive. On purpose. Continuously striving forward, increasing your skills, learning more about the world and yourself.   3. June 27th 2015 Member Video Request #1 I want to go with the flow. I have a strong urge to control everything so it would be great to learn to let go of resistance. I love to practice mindfulness meditation which greatly helps me stay in the now to go with the flow. I want to just be. I wrote out all the affirmations I thought would go good with this. (Both in I Am, and You Are format) Please feel free to add any suggestions of more affirmations if you feel would match the vibe of this video!   4. Well, I didn't really want to be the first one, but maybe if someone starts, others will join in? I've been using various videos here and I have had some cool things happen but I'm going to start by sharing my success stories on two to begin with and later on I will tell you what has happened so far with some of the others. I often just pick the videos I want for that day, depending on what I feel I need and want to manifest but sometimes I use certain videos for a few weeks especially if it's an area I think I really REALLY need help with. And one of these videos is Easy Life. (It's in the manifesting section of videos) I listened to it every day for a few weeks, I think. When I started I was mostly intending to use it to help work be a little easier and I think it's DEFINITELY helped. I've started to pick up things more and have things go my way at work a lot more. And my love life had already started to be going well but I think this video has helped with that too, cos it talks about easily attracting things you want like money and love, I think. (I did read the affirmations at the start but now I just listen.) I don't use it daily now, cos well I'm off work and I feel like I don't need to use it as much cos I have integrated some of it but it's there whenever things seem challenging and I want a boost & I'll DEFINITELY be using it when I go back to work. But LIFE feels easier than it did now, not just work, compared to before anyway. So, as I know a few of the others have some videos they use as a daily routine, this is one of the 2-3 videos I've been using for mine and I highly recommend it. I'm really pleased with it. I highly recommend and am really pleased with all the videos I've used, really but I wanted to try and get discussion going here and share this with you. I have had results with some of the other videos too but I will share that later and I'd love to hear from some of you about YOUR success stories first!
