Many people know the story about the frog and the scorpion. The scorpion begs the frog for a ride across the river. The frog complains, says you're going to sting me. Scorpion says, no I promise, I won't. Frog agrees and they take off across the river. Halfway across the river, scorpion stings the frog. Frog gets paralyzed, and they start to sink.
