    A customer approached me today and said 
    I noticed you talking to another customer and 
    you guys seem to have something? I said we 
    had great conversations sure. The customer 
    approaching me I feel was actually jealous of 
    my conversations with the other customer. This 
    customer attempted to engage me in the same 
    kind of way as the other customer but honestly 
    I really feel he only wanted the conversation with
    me just because maybe he felt left out of the 
    previous conversations. I couldn’t find his 
    conversations as interesting as the other guys. 
     
    I then wondered why not? What made my 
    conversations with the other customer so great? 
     
    Maybe because the other customer treated me
    like a celebrity? He said stuff like wow! I am just 
    grateful to be  in your presence! Your really boost 
    my mood! You really make me feel energized! I 
    enjoyed being treated like a celebrity. Especially 
    since I have never been treated like a celebrity 
    before. Is that what made the difference in the 
    conversation you think? I just finished reading 
    story telling magic.

    The book is mainly focused on eliciting the natural strategies of others and using them as they are.
    To notice and change your own strategies is a slightly different set of techniques.
    One way to switch from "move away from pain" and more toward pleasure is to practice consciously looking at wherever you are, on any path toward any goal, and taking plenty of time to build up any pain or pleasure motivation you need to keep going. Mainly to consciously build up any PLEASURE to move you forward.
    Most of these operate automatically and subconsciously. Elevate to the conscious level and spend time BUILDING UP whatever motivating factors you need.

    I just wanted to share a experience in using  the walk away technique and what I noticed. I was browsing a real estate site but not looking to buy. The real estate agent contacted me and I said thank you for reaching out but I am not interested.  Then he wrote again trying to pressure me saying what exactly are you looking for? Why don’t we talk so we can get you what you are looking for? I almost felt some need to explain why I wasn’t interested but I thought I am just going to state I am not interested and walk away. So I again said Thank you but you can’t help me. I felt some kind of appreciation for being able to do that while resisting the need to explain myself. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

    You should have just kept talking. Her brain turned off, and she was enjoying you so much she was giving you her full concentration.
    Next time that happens, try leading her somewhere. Or switch back into "non hypnotic" talk and suggesting sitting down or something.
    When you can get to the point where you are speaking hypnotically (and getting that response) and then switching back to "normal talk" and then back to hypnotic, THAT is the mysterious FRACTIONATION. 3-4 minutes hypnosis, 3-4 minutes regular talk, 3-4 minutes hypnosis.
    Keep practicing, keep getting better, journal after EVERYTHING and see this as a skill that you can keep getting better at for life.

    Here's a secret magic truth of hypnosis.
    If you practice it enough so it makes sense to YOU, it will make sense to everybody else.
    If you can (without being too creepy) eavesdrop on a group of high school or junior high school girls talk. They transition illogically all over the place and it's normal, because it's normal to THEM when they do it.
